Mr. Story is music director and permanent conductor of the West Coast Symphony since 1966, the West Coast Chamber Orchestra since 1982, and theGoleta Valley Chamber Orchestra since 1987. Mr Story made his conductingdebut, with the West Coast Symphony, in 1966 at the world famous SantaBarbara Courthouse Sunken Gardens. The Fiesta Concert has brought SantaBarbara's "Fiesta Celebration" to a beautiful close for many years. He has made musical visits to Europe where he conducted in Budapest, Hungary and has recently returned from a trip to Russia where he conducted and recorded the Moscow Philharmonic in Tschaikovsky Hall. Story received his musical training at the University of Michigan and UCLA. He has also studied conducting with the legenday Dr. Richard Lert and Camilla Kolchinsky |
